OP: You can still DL the 20060704.dmg from tjw's
site, just like you always could. Personally I would recommend a slightly more up-to-date client. If you asked the question a little more intelligently and did a little more research, you should have little or no problem installing Trem on a Mac and adding a HUD. Either get an app to unzip those files, or just rename them accordingly, so they work on your friend's machine.
I believe the three most "current" clients would be the Trem-servers client, the }MG{ client and the Tremfusion client. Also, iirc, the Mac DL was never on the main Trem site. The Mac build has always been an unsupported port done by tjw, for which "official" Trem dev took absolutely no responsibility (since one could always install one of the supported operating systems, or just properly apply a universal binary).
Lastly, if your friend already has a Trem client, why does he need to DL another one? Just apply the smexy HUD to the crappy client and patch the many lacking capabilities of the existing client.
For those who aren't familiar with Mac, I believe an
alias is somewhat equivalent to a
shortcut on Windows.
