it doesn't happen all the time, actually it's very rare, but when it happens it's extremely annoying. Sometimes when my brother is on a server I can't connect to the server he is on, but I can connect to other servers. i've searched for this problem and yes i've enabled NAT and DHCP. any suggestions on wat i shud do?

since tremulous seems to bind to port 30720 locally as the source port, your router is probably getting confused when there's two clients inside the LAN trying to use the same outgoing source port. you might be able to avoid this by using an updated client, i'm not sure. this is simply guesswork.

Shitty NAT fail. Try starting one of the clients with +set net_port <random number here>

net_qport is more likely to be the problem, it's supposed to be random but on fast computers it isn't. set it to different numbers on the two computers.

I believe that it is also possible that some of these servers good be running a patch in which it only allows 1 user to connect per ip.  This is to keep bots from flooding this server.  I read about it a while back, but I think that you might just need to connect from 2 different ip when connecting to these servers.  Is it always the same servers you can't connect to?

Set net_port to a different port on each computer's trem, then forward ports accordingly and it will work.

Qport and a serverside patch have nothing to do with this issue.
