From nearly every big clan there are players that come to AA, or even dretchstorm, or similar 1.1 servers. I know that many of you do not like the bs changes that the tremulous development servers have running, but like it or not these changes are soon to be the standard tremulous download.

The new system will have the dev-sponsored servers pinned at the top of the list. Every new player will download the 1.2 client. Trem will be changed radically, and not in the right direction.

The problem is that we are quiet, as players. Developers make claims such as a "vast majority" of people who play the dev servers more than a week like the changes, and that dissenters are just mindless complainers.

This section of our community is about to be walked on. Bigtime. We need more people to speak out, that we want to gradually choose what features we like and want our servers to have, rather than having them forced upon us. Check out the developer section in your spare time, and leave your comments and concerns. If the players don't speak up, tremdev can go on thinking that everything they do is or at least will be globally supported.

Wait, what does this have to do with clans? Just host AA with the same settings it has now, and I guarentee you, pinned dev servers or not, it will stay popular (perhaps even gain more popularity as 1.2 may mean an increase in players.)

I can see where ozzy is coming from. The official servers do seem likely to negatively effect player run servers.

I doubt it'll effect servers in the short term, but as new players come and old players leave, it will inevitably kill off most player servers.

I cant really see a way around this though... Maybe instead of having official servers just have pure servers...

I AM a real player, I AM in a clan, so what if I go on the forums?
Why can't you just accept that 1.2 will b realesed and deal with it? If you want to have the old balance back, make a mod on AA for that, whatever, I don't care. Just stop whining and trying to convince everyone that you know better than anyone else, and so we should revolt on the devs. I doubt you would do better.

Being in a clan doesnt make this relevant to you. He is making this in relation to servers, and seeing as most popular servers are in actual fact clan servers this is extremely relevant to this section.

Ozzy has done a lot for tremulous O: Ozzy is pretty much well known and well respected by "skilled players"
He has done so much I can not list what he has done because that list would not even reflect what he has done.
