Alternatively you can type messages into the console after pressing the key above 'Tab' (¬) and it will send anything that doesn't start with a / as a message.

You also may send private messages by pressing this console button (¬) and typing /m followed by a unique portion of the target players name and then the message itself, such as:

Another option is to press left mouse button while aiming at a large bright surface and drawing the message. This technique works best with a fast firing, but accurate weapon like a pulse rifle.

Finally, some very advanced players also communicate via dancing. I don't recommend you try this.

Since your previous question was how to use chat, I'll suggest you learn about how the game works and plays first.  Then you can browse the various topics for mods, most of which explain how to install them.
