twig, its not so hard as you can already animate the figures.
i dont know how familiar you are with other programs but i personally do all the graphics in illustrator. its very easy to simply ctrl+c/v objects to flash.

LOL i used to make trem gifs back in the day. Used bascoliskos stuff too. But be careful with those, even 2 mins is laggy as hell because your using bitmaps, learned that the hard way when I tried to make a 2 minute film with them and it played fine on my Flash CS3 Professional, but when I tried to turn it into a gif, it never processed, I waited days for the thing but it just wouldn't go
