Problems with Patches : / [SOLVED]
« on: December 01, 2009, 11:09:10 am »
Hi all.
Maybe someone already asked this, but I dont find that post.
The problem I have is that I cannot see curves/patches well in GTK radiant.
I make a brush then I convert it into a cilinder, or bevel...but it apperas weird.
Depending on the camera angle I can see some faces or I cannot see anything.
Any idea of how to fix that?
Thanks for your help =)

All surfaces can only been seen from 1 side (unless the shader on the surface contains 'cull none' or 'cull disable').

As Uniq said, patches can only be seen on their outer face. You can add an end cap to them so you can't see the 'invisible' inside or connect them to walls/floors/ceilings/whatever.

In Radiant, select the patch, then do curve->matrix->invert

In Radiant, select the patch, then do curve->matrix->invert

That still only shows one side though, though it is the inside instead.

Would you mind adding [solved] to the title of your first post?  This just helps other users looking through the forum to know that you don't need any more help, and it allows people with similar problems to read your posts.  Thanks.
