Tremulous File Manager (PREVIEW)
« on: February 21, 2010, 07:26:08 am »
Me and Foe of Eternity started a "Tremulous File Manager". We stopped developing it around 5-6 months ago since he started taking lessons and my Visual Basic C# 2008 crashed, and never wanted to work. So my Visual Basic C# 2008 finally started working and I caught Foe of Eternity at 12:00 AM and he sent me the project and I continued it.

Here is the main site where you can have links to all the pictures.

NEW PREVIEW PICTURES FROM LATEST UPDATE:::

For future Beta releases go here. :telenode:

So far it is Free, and it works for Windows XP, Vista, and (Not confirmed yet) 7. We might make one for Linux and Mac.

Since there Isn't a Mod Preview Center >.<

I think that subforum is for releases. Not previews.

Its called Visual Basic C#. I used it for the forms and then we used C# codes for the buttons and the lists. Stream and MemoryStream were used for the downloader, and foreach was used for the lists.

Hi,

When Tremcentral is back up, I'd like to put this on the website for people to download and use to download their maps. :)
know that I myself cannot do anything, that I will fall, and that I am a sinful man, but I know that I can do ANYTHING through God Almighty, whom strengthens me.

Update ========
  • Added main menu strip options
  • New layout for Queue (Due to group box error)
  • Added the Settings Form!
  • Added ini apply option (saves settings to ini)
  • Added more help options

Over the past week I have been working on the save ini option, it took me a long time to figure out. I am going to be adding more options and getting the QVM tab working.

Dear god. I'll give you a hint. Your answer is in ALL CAPS, in the title of this thread. Thank you. Next time maybe try a bit harder, so you don't look lazy and illiterate?

Today I got the QVM and Demos tabs working. I'll upload preview images later. I might add a Tremulous Server list like the one in the other topic. I might make one and make it's own tab.

Assuming it's written in half-decent C# and not using fancy new features then it should work on every platform mono supports.

And at least he's trying.  If you think it's not good enough either help or do something better.
Any maps not in the MG repo?  Email me or come to irc.freenode.net/#mg.

You don't have to piss on me everytime I disagree with someone.

The coder said he might port it later on, which I assume is easier with QT. And since QT is similar to C++ it might not be too difficult for him to adjust to it/learn it. QT is inherently cross platform. which I am not too sure about C#.

Just finished :P

Anywhoo, just wanted to update everyone, letting them know that I am doing a Tremulous File Manager re-design. Tabs are becoming Buttons that glow on hover. The new re-design should take me about 2 days to finish. Thanks everyone for commenting. Come back in 2 days!

Preview UPDATE! Everything is working beautifully with the new layout and all. I'm going to add some more touch ups and then I'm going to be working on the Installing maps option using the md5list . I all ready have to codes in my head :) Then I'll be adding the Update option. So stay-tuned for that. Then after that I'll release a little Alpha of it but only for installing Backports and Maps.
