I have FAQ'd it and been threw the forums reading all the info about it and have tried everything that has been suggested to resolve the issue ! But still no joy ! I love trem and am gutted that i cant play it and am getting really bored of playing crossfire all the time.

SOLVED  ;D

Just follow these noob proof instructions !

1 ) Go to 'Program files' and double click.

2 ) Now find the 'Tremulous' folder and double click.

3 ) Now find the 'Base' folder and double click.

4 ) Now look for 'autogen.cfg' and delete it.

5 ) Now you are ready to play !  :D

That also removes all your binds & settings. The proper way to solve it would be to read console output, or post it here. I think 1 of the possible problems may have been choosing a too large screen resolution.

Wow. That really is noob-proof. And it'll work most of the time (assuming you're on Windows, of course). I'm making "delete your autogen.cfg" (after backing it up) my automatic response to cases where Tremulous won't start.

ok, can you give me the tool thingy app that can code?

Instead of deleting the autogen.cfg with all your settings, you should try this first, it resets only the video mode and keeps all other settings.
