Hey everyone, I have this problem about once per day that I'll try to connect to a server, and it'll take a really long time, for both connection, then challenge, then gamestate, and nothing will happen so I hit escape and then when I try to reconnect to the server it gives me the challenge "Duplicate GUID". As if I'm on that server allready, but in fact I'm not. I used the search function, found nada

My guess is that you are connecting to the server, but are then dropped (no clue as to why).  It just takes time for your old client to time out and allow you to connect with your guid.

Yeah, it happened to me too, and same text appeared, "Duplicate GUID". I think when you disconnect without confirm (router shuts down, computer freezes, etc), it leaves some of your... trace in server.

But someone with more expertise with internet connections could explain more, my knowledge ends here.  :-\

Your connection will only be rejected with "Duplicate GUID" if someone who is not lagging out is connected with the same GUID. If you lag out, your computer crashes, network goes down, whatever, you will be allowed to connect.

Does this happen if, instead of pressing esc, you open the console (with ~ or shift+esc) and type /disconnect?
