where are all the C files for trem are kept? i found menudef.h inside data 1-1-0 something, but cant find anything else

That is the link to the repository where all the C sources for Tremulous are stored. To get them to your local PC you should install one of the available subversion clients and then you can use the given url to check out the source code.

That link works fine for me, that file is just the licence.  The source is in the src folder.
