hay i once saw a group developing a third race for tremulous and it was awesome because they actually had sensible modles that were even in-game!

Hey... first of all, there is more than just General Discussion on this forum, please use the other boards appropriately. Secondly, your model makes no sense, and is probably wayyy too high in poly count. Thirdly I really doubt you appreciate how much work it is to make a third race, because, it's not just the models/animations/textures, it's all the coding, balancing, stats, etc. (Also, you said third class again, aren't you that guy who hasn't learned how to evolve yet? "TREMULOUS ONLY HAS GRANGER AND DRENCH SO BORING") Fourth, stop posting this shit.

I have a great idea, how about instead of Humans V.S. Aliens, its Humans Vs Humans, and we can change all the maps, and the engine. Have 1 team like, plant bombs or something. You can change the name to something fancy like... Counter...something. >.>

Trem is perfect how it is. No need to add or remove classes imo. What trem has is what makes trem..well...trem.

you can decimate mesh and use normal map to map bumps etc.
this can be reduced to 1000 polys

Not sure if you noticed but there's no normalmaps in trem. Best chance to get any further detail out of that is to bake the AO map into the diffuse and hope you get some extra detail implied from the lighting.
