UniqPhoeniX

You'd have to either ask someone who has the .map, (such as the mapper who made the map) or decompile the .bsp (probably will have some messed up stuff).

Yea every map ever made is on this sight. somehow (IDK) But they have codded trem and know every map is on this sight...   Look for a picture on the tremulous map releases thread and then download the map that you like. Thats what I do. And there are like what????? 1000 maps in this directory.  But its in alphabetical order.  A-Z. Witch makes it easier.  Only names thats why you would look for the picture on the forum then go download it off this sight....       http://downloads.mercenariesguild.net/maps/

Or would anyone know any sites with the files avaliable?
Just decompile those bsp files. And, btw, why u need them? Searching for some features? Just ask. =D

I learned a lot of stuff by looking at Arachnid2's .map
For example? Common things (doors, clipping/align brushes, texturing, etc) you can find in tons of manuals. Just curious (may be it will help me choose my next article subject. =D).

Yeah. My prob is my netradiant didnt put all the textures (mainly enviroment boxes) into the texture/shader list. I have tried using the filter options and it dosnt work. I have only 1 snowy env because i got it off another .map file i found somewhere. Plus seeing i hav no shaders I cant make transperant shaders such as glass/windows and i cant even get things like fans to move! (i have the fan texture but it dosnt move!???>??!?!??!?! PLEASE HELP

THanks

UniqPhoeniX

You don't need .map files for this. If you set up NetRadiant properly it should work right away.
Do you have shaderlist.txt in base/scripts?
Have you set the proper path in trem.game file?
Is engine path set properly in Preferences->Paths?
In texture window View menu check only 'Show shaders' and then in Tools menu choose 'Flush & Reload Shaders'.
If none of that helps, post some more info, like what console outputs at startup / when you try 'Flush & Reload Shaders'.

Emperor Jack

When i go shaders oly then flush. It comes up with 5 names. Atcs, karith, common, transit, niveus. I have 2 shaders only which are in karith and niveus. Atcs comes up on the list but no shaders in there.

I dont even have a base/scripts folder (is this the prob?)

Path is correct

UniqPhoeniX

Yes, that is probably the problem. Read the installation instructions, link in my sig... And don't check "Shaders only", check "Show shaders" and nothing else.

Emperor Jack

They really should have made and executable installer for netradiant xD

Don't turn this into an OS flamewar. Vista has no problems.

There is no '.map File Depository'. If you want the Source files for the default maps then you'll have to ask the developers who made them, though chances are slim (Especially as some are inactive).

Also, this is a Forum, not Instant Messaging. So please use proper English, like the rest of us.
