Post a scary story you've heard around your neighborhood

I'm tired, i need to stay awake, so i want to start a thread relevant to my interests. I have what many would dub "An unhealthy obsession" with horror. I can't find anything that scares me, shocks me, etc, I even went through a shock video/image challenge and the only one that actually got to me was 3 guys 1 hammer (I would highly advise people not view it as it's probably one of the most disturbing things on the internet).

I'll start first. There is this story going around Roanoke of a guy who moved into a house in the woods around 6 years ago. He came across some papers in the house and couldn't make out a line of words on the papers. He spoke them out loud to see if he can properly understand it, but after saying Vela Var Keshga, all the doors and windows in the house shut at the same time. That night, the man had trouble sleeping, dreaming of a giant snake with razor scales and the head of a human. He woke up in the middle of the night, only to find that his door had been smashed it. Upon further investigation, he found scratches and cuts along the ground. Behind him he heard a sound, and like any human being, you'd probably turn to see what it is. The description of what he saw varied, but the majority say that it was a large Serpent with the head of a human that had deep black sunken eyes and both corners of its mouth were slit. Much like the detail of the ting he saw, the ending varies from him dying of a heart attack to only blood smears being the remnants of his demise. They say that if you find the house and linger after dawn after saying the words he said, you'll encounter the snake and meet the same demise.

I wouldn't consider myself easily scared either. Not by fantastic stories about monsters anyhow. I didn't find your story scary and I don't think anybody else will either. Your problem is mainly the fact it's too short for me to become involved in it, especially since I'm reading it from my home computer in the middle of the day. Short stories like that only ever work when you're feeling vulnerable; like with a group of friends beside a camp fire in the woods late at night.

As for shock videos, I have to admit to a morbid fascination with them and at worst they're disgusting, not scary. UNLESS they're those stupid BOO! videos. Those do scare you for a split second if you have any reflexes at all and I find them annoying.

You mean our favorite punching bag?

He'll be back. He has no life.

Considering karma... you don't seem too far off of a punching bag either.

Karma is gay. And go ahead. I like when people make fun of me online. Not like it matters.
