How I Roll (my personal administration guidelines)

[Superpie]

You can't piss me off, I bring no emotion into administration.
If you don't say anything when I talk to you, I assume you don't speak English.

On Banning

No permanent bans unless you put in a request for a subnet ban. I think people will wait on average five days without getting too mad if they did something appropriately stupid. People evade long bans, so by this logic the longer you ban someone the sooner they will come back.

I'm biased toward regulars, as people who I don't think will come back tend to get longer bans from me. Don't think I'm a softie, you still get banned if you fuck around.

Amendment I Don't touch my bans. In some cases I might also apply the same ban to whoever is tampering with it.

On Kicking

If you come back from a kick saying anything like "OMG WHY U KIK ME", I will kick you again. Maybe another five minutes will be enough time for you to think about why you got kicked.

Kicking is usually unnecessary, I find that a mute will infuriate someone more than a kick will.

Yeah, I kicked you. Take a few minutes, masturbate, come back with a clear head. Play.


On Muting

If I mute you, and you evade it, i kick you. If you're an admin and you think you're hot shit and unmute yourself, I consider that evasion and still kick you.

If you flame people, I don't care. If you spam, no matter what you're saying, I do. If you're fighting in public chat, I will tell you to shut up -- if you don't, you get muted.

If someone wants you to stop using a bind, I suggest you stop using it before I notice.

When someone leaves the game because they can't speak, that increases the odds that I will punish them a little harder in the future.

Call a bunch of votes that keep failing? You'll get muted.


On Putteam

This is not used enough. If you see that the teams are drastically uneven, ask if anyone will move. If you ask specific people they will be more likely to move. If nobody moves, put the player with the skill level most likely to balance the game on the other team. He will bitch about it. Sometimes being the good guy is being the bad guy.


On Denybuild

If he's the only builder on the team, let him go. They need him no matter how much he sucks.

If the team is winning by a large margin, bad building won't hurt them.

If you're feeling generous, coach him through building. Everyone needs to learn sometime. If he doesn't say anything back, use "sign language."


On Spec999

Don't use it. People lose their credits, current equipment, score.

afaik mutes cant be evaded as easy now since reconnecting reapplies the mute(using namelog) and spec999 i found fixes someone trying to glitch in a few maps and its quite funny when they come back from trying to glitch figure out their in spec then abuse/threaten you

If he's the only builder on the team, let him go. They need him no matter how much he sucks.

If the team is winning by a large margin, bad building won't hurt them.
