An issue regarding map downloading

I recall tremulous downloading maps I did not have when a server connected to a map not in my files. Unfortunately it no longer does it. May I ask how one may fix this to where it downloads maps not yet stored like it did before?

While you're in game hit escape, go to options and set Auto Download to 'yes'
