Revealing admin under alias

What are the rules towards other admins if a admin is under alias...

Its the 2nd time I have had to remind DSPro|Heli 



I was under the impression that if a admin is under alias, he should stay under alias until he or she feels fit to come out..


What do you say?

Shouldn't be done without at least some reason.

People get some kind of kick out of knowing who an aliased player is and then telling everyone about it.

It's generally not a good thing to give an admin's name away. If someone calls me by my name when I'm aliased, I just don't respond.
If they link my name to my alias, I PM them and ask them not to say that again, disconnect, reconnect under a different name.

But, yeah. Heli just drops admins' names for the fuck of it, really.

Yeah, Heli (or whoever) shouldn't be doing that without good reason if they want to remain an admin. Feel free to pass that along.

About the thread, I agree with it, aliasing admins clearly want to be anonymous.

Really we'd rather you not use /a for casual chatter without reason either and reserve it for when there's an actual admin issue to discuss.

Yes, sorry, shouldn't encourage it. I suppose excessive noise on /a, as well as annoying other admins ingame, makes reviewing logs where necessary more tedious.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have revealed if it wasn't to counter a dick move in the first place.  With that said, now that this is an 'official rule', can we add it to that sticky and lock this?
