When you get a kill.  Big words come up.  Saying extraordinary things.
Like when you kill your teammate words come up.

So when you get the kill of the opposite species the words come up on screen maybe on top of your screen. Therefore you will continue to play without being blinded by the text.

Necros are one thing, but a necro by someone that types like a Google Translate result is really something.

To top it off, I think he wants the HUD to tell you when you get a kill/killed. Which it already does, unless I'm missing something huge.

ok, can you give me the tool thingy app that can code?

In a game like Quake where it's easy to not know if you killed your target due to the pace and nature of the game, the centre print is a nice touch.

In Trem, it would be the most annoying goddamn thing in the world. The centre print would be the #1 killer of S1 humans.

[EDIT: Thanks for the topic split, mod.]

The center printed text for teammates is too large and badly placed on the default HUD.
The crosshair and teammate info are too close together like this:

    |
  -   -         <-  crosshair
    |

<- space is about 3/4 inch on my screen
TEAMMATE [HP]   <- text is too large

When you see a teammate attacked by drecthes, the HUD text showing their name and health often covers up the dretch on screen, making it difficult to aim at them. I'd suggest making the font smaller AND moving the info much farther down or even way up to appear above people's heads, leaving the floor around their feet more visible.

Additionally, having game messages mixed with chats are bad, because it makes it difficult to separate useful game info from mostly useless chats. I'd suggest moving chats (and team chats) to the lower left on screen, and keeping the game events in the top left.

My thoughts exactly. Maybe we're both missing something here...

Doesn't bother me; i just modified the text size and screen dimensions using r_width/height
