Can you really call the thread sexist? The initial question was 'are you a girl who plays tremulous?' which could provide evidence toward a more blurry 'gender-line' than generally accepted.

Can you say it's sexist to find out the facts? It's the opinions, prejudices and discriminations that we might find sexist. Say for example, the reason he gave for his asking:

i would like to know if im playing w/ or against a girl so i dont accidently diss them or make them uncomfortable in anyway! plz u should let us guys know so we dont treat u wrong.

But even that is no more sexist than a man carrying heavy bags for a beautiful woman. Or leaving his seat so that she might rest there.

But on the whole, I think it's the opinions that are expressed in reply to the thread that you find sexist. Not the existance of the thread itself. Is it a better idea to shy away from those opions and pretend they don't exist?

I think basically its been established that there is 1 girl playing tremulous and almost everyone wants to molest her because they don't realize girls exist outside of games, and then some people think any time you bring up girls its sexist.. so the topic has evolved since its been completed.. its not a flame war imho...
