y do dragoons suck on SHOTGNU?

really i want to kno, and its not just me whos asking it. on most servers dragoons are the most fear alien to a stage 1 human if they are good. but on shotgnu u have to be very lucky just to get a kill. i mean its like almost imposible to to the ponce bite attack. soo want i want to kno is how has the dragoon been changed? attack distance? ponce damage? ponce effective zone? i dunno.... or is it cose every 1 just lags so much. and if it has been changed y?

ps, does any 1 else miss the early years? when there was only a hand full of servers.. all running the standed stuff, standed luci, no ff and no vote spammerss so voting was able....

Don't cite me, but I think there was a bugfix with TJWs mod to remove a pouncing / jumping bug.

And I don't miss the old days where you nearly had only one flavor of server...

As far is I know, SATGNU uses the unmodified Lucy again.

On the Goon pounce, I still have to learn how to use this 'fixed' pounce, so my first thoughts are, WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED? Kinda like that.

Yes, i do think the pounce has been nerfed. I used to be able to fly into a human and kill them almost instantly, now i cant do anything but bite them. There is something wierd also where on tjw's server, a goon can take down a bsuit faster than a tyrant. Did he nerf us all to drive up his bandwithd (kidding)

I have not yet installed it on Aliens' Wrath, not sure about SATgnu...?

The fixed Dragoon pounce is active on SATGNU, and I still have to make peace with it. but that will be over in a few days. Too bad it's not as much fun as Dretchpunting.

on satgnu i run latest tjw code.

well pouncing works fine for me. i get a lot of kills with it ;p

and the lucy WAS modified.

its completly changed back to  normal values now since lot of ppl complained about it.

anyway not being able to make kills with goons is more youre lack of skill than tjw's code.

just tried on satgnu, you can pounce/chomp in the air, one hit kill, everything is fine, goons that cant aim and miss the first pounce/chomp are screwed tho :]

Because of a client prediction mis-match you will hear the chomp sound when you try to bite while pouncing.  Nobody else hears this and you do not actually bite when pouncing.

Maybe it's because that is what i'm used to...I probably wouldn't noti ce the difference though
