Im using windows 7(64) and im having issues making my own binds I tried to use autoexec.cfg in the base folder under program files but was having no luck getting to to run but thats less important because was looking for help on the forum and I found this
/set cg_humanconfig "human.cfg"
/set cg_alienconfig "alien.cfg"
which does run but now i get an error human.cfg cannot run so I think I have it in the wrong folder or something because I was starting simply so all I have in my human.cfg now is I tried to put in the base in the program files and in the base in the (hidden) appdata base

bind 2 "sell weapons;sell upgrades;buy larmour;buy helmet;buy shotgun;itemact shotgun"

HamStar

You almost had it right, the human.cfg and alien.cfg actually go in the GPP folder of AppData, not Base. The directory should look something like this:

C:\Users\(Your account)\AppData\Roaming\Tremulous\gpp

Hope it helps.

Thanks Im just still getting the cannot exec human.cfg
all I have now I belive is I ran this /set cg_humanconfig "human.cfg"
and move the human.cfg into the other folder now

HamStar

Did you run the command before you moved the configs? If so, run the command again and see if it picks up your .cfg files now.

They can go in either or both; it doesn't matter

Ah my bad, I just assumed what I said was correct since that was the way I did it.

Thanks Hamster its better your way since I like to just back up the appdata file but thanks Undeference I simply reinstalled trem using my appdata back up from before I started playing around with the binds and my human.cfg it works perfectly now
