i downloaded tremoules on ubunto but i dont know where to install it plz help

Tremulant

Just install it to somewhere in your home directory, something like /home/halocrusher13/games/tremulous might be good(obviously replacing halocrusher13 with your actual username), then install the gpp to the same place.

Open your terminal, run this.

sudo apt-get install tremulous

Tremulous should show up in your games list.

I wouldn't recommend installing it from the repos, has the potential to break things.

This works if you'll only be playing 1.1, but it makes it a lot harder to update your 1.1 client because it spreads everything around the filesystem. It also makes it near impossible to install GPP.

i could possibly make a server on windows then switch back to linux and use that same server

Celestial_Rage

Not really. All you have to do is copy the contents of the tremulous-gpp.zip into /usr/share/games/tremulous and then duplicate the tremulous start script in /usr/games. Using the run file is a pain--I wouldn't recommend using that.
