Esteemed community of Tremulous, I have come here advocating awareness of a major
issue that is in
dire need of a solution.It has come to my attention that a first person shooter requires an extensive amount of physical activity. There have been many days where I have found myself cradling my right hand as it slowly dies from exhaustion, icy tears dripping down my chin and short circuiting my laptop (gotta get a new one every week), pools of sweat forming at my feet as I cry, "
Why!?".
The laborious activity known as Tremulous has parched my lips, extracted the liquid life from my body, and left behind a cold, hard corpse. I am sure many others have felt this phenomenon.
I know how to solve this.
I know the solution.
Tremulous. Needs.
Coffee.
Ah, the sweet/bitter/
whatever you think it tastes like 'cause I've never had it taste of coffee. It rejuvenates the bones, and restores life the the mind and body (I think).
This is what we need.
My formal proposal is a such:(Humans)
Add item 'Coffee' to the armory menu (perhaps at stage 2 or 3).
Price: 50 credits.
Upon buying, a small coffee icon appears in the inventory at the bottom of the screen (assuming default HUD).
Upon activation, it quickly restores 25 hp and increases the player's velocity by a factor of 2 for a short amount of time.
Upon expiration, the player experiences a short blackout, followed by a restoration of normal functions.
(Aliens)
Give ability to build 'Coffee Machine' to the Granger (perhaps at stage 2 or 3).
Aliens must stand in front of the machine for 1-2 seconds for activation.
The coffee machine can only serve one at a time.
The effects should last for roughly 30 seconds. They are:
1) An increase in speed by a factor of two.
2) Aliens will continue living for one second after their HP reaches zero.
3) Tyrants will be given the ability to fly.
