been a while, should i stick with 1.1.0 or try the new 1.2 beta?

Its been several years since i played tremulous. and i have been checking the website news for a long time now waiting for a gold status on the new version.

but it seems 1.2 beta is for playtesting now.

should i stick with 1.1.0 or go for the playtest?

btw, the Amsterdam Unlimited server has GPPish game logic, and is connectable by both 1.1 and GPP clients.

I'd suggest GPP, personally, 1.1 seems to consist of a bunch of old whiners reminiscing about the good old days.

Try GPP for a week or two, and if it doesn't fit you, then you can always play 1.1 again.

US1's fairly well populated a lot of the time, i can't recall having ever bumped into you there, even at quiet times.

but seriously, there's like what, 30 players maximum for a game that used to consist of hundreds at a time.  it is sad.
when I check 1.1 tsb every once in a while it's not uncommon for there to be 150 players on over 20 servers. (although most can't speak english and use blaster as primary weapon, but still... )
