Well there have been some n00bs on tremulous that make you wanna cry.  List the biggest one you've seen here.


Mine is when on arachnia the humans moved there base to that tiny hall way in front of there base.  O_O  Thats just noobish they claimed that tyrants can get in.  They were on stage 1 when aliens stormed in with Tyrants.

How about the time I deconned the reactor, planning to THEN jetpack up to the ledge and build the new one >.<

I'm afraid you're showing your "noobishness" here; that spot is well known to be the best location for humans to move to on that map (the pipes may or may not be better but getting there doesn't happen in serious games). And if its properly built, well defended and kept repaired tyrants can indeed be kept out. Don't mistake poor teamwork or lack of basic skills for a bad idea.

We had atleast 10 turrets (on SST) in front of the door to our base. One player tries to throw a nade. the nade doesn't go far enough.

A few seconds later, about 22 humans, and every last turret was destroyed in a massive chain reaction the likes of which I shall never again see. Seconds later, the game is over, when Tyrants kill everything.

no its not, the best place for human base is upstairs, that small corridor and the pipes are death traps

as for the noobish things ever:
-attackin granger
-front eggs at S1 (only feed humans and encourage dretchin turrets)
-dretchin turrets
-MASS dretchin flamethrower (instant s3 for humans)
-decon of reac/om in first minute of a game
-decon of reac/om without saying a work
-granger leaving the base to build one egg and 4 acids in the middle of the map
-retarded human campers sitting in base when I yell 'om down'
...i can go on like this all night

Lol, small corridor, that place sucks so badly. All you need is tyrants at the front upstairs, and tyrants and adv goons at the back. The goons just snipe the turrets on the ledge, or dretches dretch them, and then pounce up, and pump 3 barbs into the armory. Soon, you have a wide open back, and every tyrant and goon and dretch is flooding into it.

wow i've seen so many in my trem life, heres some:


-the infamous nexterholland guy was one of them.
-this guy while i was playing against humies decided to run to aliens base, unarmored with a rifle ignoring all aliens. promptly dies in 2 seconds after i catch up with him.
-stupid jetpackers. one of them was resting on a platform wearing a helmet (keyword helmet). i wallwalked above him and started biting him. how can he not see me???
-some guy while on the first day of admin (bah this always happens), started getting real mad at me, saying things like the n word, comments about ppls mom's etc.
god that was the n00biest person i saw. i kicked him for good.
-this one lives on even till today. some guy thought 1 telenode was great for 7 ppl rofl.
-the many ppl who think i h4x just cause i have great aim and have a high score.

i love being that mara. though my favorite is on karith: dretch wallwalks into base between reactor and armory, dretch kills builder, dretch wallwalks out, lisk wallwalks above reactor, lisk eats reactor, 4 humans still haven't noticed.

A clan leader (who's name I wont mention) keeps bitching contstantly for over 30mins, get's admonished more than 4 times, gets muted, renames himself to 'WTF?'  'U SUX'  'MOFU', get's the boot, reconnects as 'I'll kill you' or something like that, gets kicked again, starts trying to DOS the server with fake-connects, gets the IP range from his whole area into the drop-rule, goes to the forum and starts bitching, gets told off there...

Can it get more noobish than that?

You always have to love it when noobs say important information over the com, or they fall for the ole 'decon the reactor so i can move it!' trick.

.. or when tyrants fall in holes on uncreation on their way to attack the base..... maybe more funny than noobish actually..

While I have a list, there is only 2 that really piss me off.

First one is obvious:
Floor attacking dretches.....c'mon.

The other is a granger that deconns the OM because he wants to move base?!?!?!?!?! You dumb mother@$#@#*. NEVER, EVER, EVERRRRRR move the OM. Did I say ever? EVER!!!!

Aliens are not meant to have a base. If you want to build somewhere else, make an egg and continue building. Let the hummies have the OM.

I just got done playing (or rather quiting out of) a game on transit due to this(although there were other things going on).

I go alien, rush the hummies who already managed to make 2 well placed turrets, kill 4 of them and run off so I can evlolve to a goon and go back in. Guess what??!  No OM. Moron decided it was lonely all by itself so he moved it the stairs going to OG alien. Game turned into an alien campfest with me being the only one (and later net_giant) killing anything and destroying turrets. We went s2 but the builder refused to make a booster. Said he needed those points for something else.
Thats when I left.

What's also very dumb is an entire team fighting at one side of the base, while your Mara or even your Basi can easily tackle the base via the other totally undefended entry.

Atcs..human standard base. I was going to build the turrets on the upper level near the reactor, so that no mara could jump in. Some players in my team always wanted the turrets down to block the entrances. I told them that that wouldnt be smart since maras could jump over it and destroy base.
Anyway i built the base and the turrets where all on the upper level when aliens became s3. But then those idiots decided to rebuild the teslas near the entrances though i told them not to do but i had to defend since the others werent able to kill the tyrants......end was that an adv dragoon jumped over the teslas into our base, killed the def comp and game was over.
Best was that one builder said we would have won if we had built all teslas near the entrances...............

Most n00bish things ever seen:

1) Human buys painsaw, immeadiately holds attack as he slides against the armory. Armory is smoking but guy doesn't bother to fix...runs out of base and dies halfway to alien base.

2) Human base has just been hit hard, 5 people are asking the next person to spawn to spawn builder to replace armory....the next person spawns twice in a row as rifle grunt....

3) Alien OM gets killed. Attackers are still in the original base area...granger builds om again in the exact same spot...then complains no one is defending him.

4) Humans are defending a tight passage with plasma rifle and flame thrower. Tyrant rushes in to take out one or the other. On his way out the genius attack granger has followed on the tyrants ass and is blocking the door. Tyrant dies...being cursed by the granger for blocking.

5) BAsilisk at reactor. Reactor kills the basilisk but is smoking. N00b fired a full charge luci at the basi's ass. Reactor is TKed. Luci user bitches for a reactor...

6) Complaints that humans are overpowered....despite them only winning maybe one in ten games...

Humans have s3 and aliens are still in s1 and their OM and defense is down. 5 battlesuits try to do the final assault and right in front of the alien base they see something yellow/brownish. They wonder hmmm, what is it. Suddenly they notice, it's a dretch, let's kill it. Dretch runs back to human base and all battlesuits follow. Yey, evil dretch has been killed and next time they come back, whole alien base is back in full defense. Or if it isn't, the dretch has spawned again and does a new round >_>

(this is my attempt to replicate the base with /devmap, so it's not exact, but very close to it) if you ever see a guy named mecha knuckles with a construction kit moving towards the reactor, tk him before it's too late.
