volt _was_ the project head, and he gave that position up. He still has not taken that position back because Ishq and cron have not given him it. You simply stole our website and claimed we forked and that he is the project head again. You are so concerned over legal process, so let's focus on this fact.

Volt was the project head at the time that I joined TremZ. He was the project head for TremZ prior to Ishq and cron. Volt was listed as the project head on the TremZ forums at that time of my joining the TremZ forums. He began the project as well. It was his position as the founder of the project originally. If Ishq and cron refused to respect that, then that is their problem... and yours. Volt didn't "steal" the website, it was already his and HermXIV's anyway. Your claim is idiotic.

In truth, there were always two development teams, with a brief alliance. It's visible in the pattern of associations, who listened to who, who had influence, and in the factions.

In such an open-source project relying on willing cooperation, hierarchy is in truth a fallacy. It doesn't really exist. Currently, in TremZ, Volt is the project head, but it's a "Team Project" with "project head" being nothing more than a title of convenience. There is no dictatorship, there is just hard work and getting things done. The project continues, thankfully without all the childish dramas and paranoid accusations of people such as you. There are no ridiculous time-wasting efforts on mud-slinging, starting stupid threads on Tremulous.net in order to make dumb unsupportable accusations, nor in trying to encourage people to troll another forum.

How I see Unvanquished is only good at creating drama and nothing else.

Point proven by the number of threads started by Unvanquished trolls who have nothing better to do then try to trash TremZ, instead of focusing on improving the Unvanquished game they claim to love so much.

For once though, I actually see a bit of sense in what SamOz says. Almost everyone in Unvanquished runs against TremZ for community because they're afraid of losing community to a bunch of people who:

* Accuse a group of people of theivery and having ill-licensed code with little to back it up, but then there's clear evidence that the accusing group's leader had been taking images and claiming them as his own after minor modification.

* Close their source to try and prevent productivity within any other project vacinity aside from their own.

* Consistently censors posts and forces people to instead post on a seperate forum they have no control over.

* Originally had a rather unjustified reason to fork (or start their own project) which caused both community and production issues on both sides, and possibly an overall loss for Tremulous in general because of the conflict it created.

I don't really care to follow Unanquished because of influence but that's just the way logic is currently taking me. I don't really understand Volt, I definitely cannot understand SamOz (and I question his sanity), and I don't understand TheDushan.

Closing source, censoring community portals, and splitting the community are all valid reasons a project can not only fail but vanish. TremZ guys took that route without a second thought which makes me truly question TremZ's motive and I am not convinced at all that the motive TremZ had was enough nor did it even do anything positive for either side.

I didn't read any of this but I did make that topic, and yes, I did say that they should delete it. I try to avoid getting pulled into shit like this and due to a couple bad grades on important things (a 49 on a major essay!! ) I was really pissed off... Never make forum posts when you're pissed off.


But most of that I posted is true, and is what I believe, I just don't have a massive emotional response like everyone else here seems to have... if the game isn't real, oh well. Just a game. If it is, great! I personally think it's real, but again, just an opinion from someone who doesn't know anything about it. We'll see when it comes out (if it does.) In the meanwhile, when I go onto these big long rage threads and insult the O.P., I'm not saying whether they're right or wrong. I'm saying that the whole topic is stupid. It's just a virtual game, on a virtual forum, all 1s and 0s... Completely pointless. Video games are meant for people to have FUN. All this raging, drama, hating... It ruins that.

During that post, I forgot about that, since I was mad anyway, and later I "saw the light" and told Herm to remove it, although he probably would have anyway, granted. Look, all I'm trying to say, is to shut up. It's a game (or two), meant for people to have fun, and all this hate and rage is just pointless. I post on the TremZ forums because I enjoy it. I talk about storyline because I enjoy it. Hell, when Unvanquished comes out, I'm probably going to play it. Because I'll enjoy it. Whatever gives me the most amount of fun, I am going to do.

So just lay off.
