Ok, so I'm reading this thread and here is what I'm taking from it so far :

1) Americans are assholes who like to get their way by blowing crap up
2) Other countries hate us for it
3) Everyone is trying to justify the point of view of Americans being assholes because of : Iraq, Oil, and use of force around the world.

All I have to say is this: most of you countries out there whinning about us Americans would not exist today if not for us. Kiss our bombing, power craving, rich, imperilistic asshole asses.

To the Euros out there, let me ask you, are you enjoying your high unemployment rates, stagnant and old cultural achievements and large numbers of poor rioting muslim immigrants ?

Oh and lets not forget the wonderfully functional U.N. Them and their nice little oil for food scandal, and the powerfull letters they write to world tyrants that they somehow pass off as "resolutions". Yeah, lets depend on them to fix the worlds problems.

Personally, I think we should just leave Iraq. We gave those people a chance to govern themselves, and all they do is fight among themselves over old crap. Experiment tried, and failed.

I do hope you are joking.  US pilots were volunteering to fight for Britain before the US was ever in the war.  Very early on during the Battle of Britain (that is the way it is termed in the US) there were very few US pilots, but even then a full 20% of Britain's RAF was composed of pilots from other countries.  The US had the Lend/Lease act where the US gave the Briton's hundreds of airplanes before it even entered the war.  (Even Poland comprised almost 10% of the pilots in your RAF at the time.)  The US sent convoy after convoy (with many German U-boat sinkings and thousands of US lives lost) to supply Britain with the most basic needs through out the entire war.  And, when the US did join the war, the 1,000s and 1,000s of lives lost on air/sea/ground in support of your country (and Europe) makes your statements ignorant and disrespectful to those Americans that are buried there.  You need to read some history.  I can tell you are young, no reason to be ignorant.

I don't condone the acts of a few extremist but I do understand some of them. At least to a certain extent. As far as Islam goes, terror and violence is against everything that Islam stands for.
For the Pope and the U.S. Gov't to say that Islam is a violent religion and needs to be dealt with, creates a feeling of unfair stigmatisation. When Jewish people were stigmatised, the whole world went out of their way to help them out, like it should have happened. But if you're a Muslim, you simply can't count on the world to right the wrongs and lend a hand.
Why is that?

While most world gov't work toward a better education and econimics, the U.S. does the exact opposite. When things such as a strong social system and health care are considered a norm in most modern countries, in the U.S. it's a luxury. Only 4 out of 10 U.S. citizens have or are able to afford healthcare!
Fact is, morons with guns are quite easier to contol then an educated and opinionated crowd. That why when a leader of an European gov't acts against the will of the people, he/she is removed from power in a peacefull manner. Try doing that in the U.S. and you'll spend a long time in Guantanamo Bay.

PHREAK - While I appreciate your comments in some areas, you have strayed at bit here.  The US government goes to extreme lengths to seperate church and state where in many Muslim countries, the church is the state.  In fact, to be politically correct in the US, extreme protection is given to almost all religions except Christianity which is routinely sued in court for being represented in state schools or office buildings.  Nothing is ever done by the US in the name of Christianity, where as much of the violence we see today is done in the name of Islam.  (And yes, I know Islam and the Muslim faith do not promote or condone those actions).

Remove a US leader and go to G'Bay - lol.  Is history so short to remember that two of our most recent presidents (Nixon and Clinton)were impeached with Nixon resigning (in a peaceful manner).
