i recently downloaded some new maps to play on, and stuck them in my base folder, but i cant play on them and i can't make a server with them on them, am i doing something wrong?
Note: my computer runs mac os X leopard

Sometimes the maps downloaded are contained within a .zip file. Make sure the files you have are .pk3

So that in the zip file, they can include the pk3 and their readme. :P

just make sure that you only put in the ".pk3" file into the base folder. (definetly not an OS Problem)

Because they use Windows and don't realize that pk3=zip.
Need help? Ask intelligently. Please share solutions you find.

But these people are mappers, I would like to think they know a bit about the system.
Any maps not in the MG repo?  Email me or come to irc.freenode.net/#mg.

thanks guys, i was putting the folders in the base folder as well
