Yeah so, it doesn't work.

I tried using surfaceparm nobuildsurface or whatever it was and that didn't work either. Any tips or am I missing something?

HEh doesn't work or we're just not using it right malt cause when I attempted to use it myself back for gloom3 beta 2 I did compile with the proper switch and it still doesn't work.

For me I put the brush in the area where I didn't want building figuring it'd block the build object trying to be placed atop it. Perhaps it has to fill the area? ie. an area effect vs a surface effect.

It will prevent buildings that fit entirely in the nobuild brush if I did read the documentation correctly.

ah so that's why it never worked. I made a thin brush close to the floor.
