I have the idea you are referring to the adv mara and adv goon.
They're normal. they're part of the game.

servers with sv_pure=1 wouldn't allow you to join, right? (Assuming that we're talking about the current crosshairless aliens  1.1.0 version of trem)

As long as you have the original PAKs in the appropriate location, you can connect to pure servers.
