a person who steals names
« on: October 16, 2006, 03:01:47 am »
well, there is a person who steal a player's name and decons everything.
I'm (and not someone else) writing this because this fag stole MY NAME and did everything.
I SAW HIM IN THE SERVER I WAS PLAYING IN (which is Yaknet Lair)
Because of that ass, I almost (I think (as in, I THINK they ignored someone's post about neg me)) got myself a neg rec from MG...
so... if you see my name, which is }MGR{ Holyknight, or other names that decons, do not judge them by their name.
I want to kill that shit

[sarcasm] I dont own the SST servers, someone is just going around saying that I own the SST servers under my name. [/sarcasm]

Just by posting that you dont....doesnt show us that you do/dont.
know that I myself cannot do anything, that I will fall, and that I am a sinful man, but I know that I can do ANYTHING through God Almighty, whom strengthens me.

That's the risk you take when you play online games.  People alias, decon, TK, switch teams ingame and every other annoying thing.  Its a fact of life: deal with it.

the recent decons have been on a few servers, by someone who keeps switching names indescriminatly. Dont vote kick if he changes names, get someone to ban his ip address.

Ok, i know about all this...its been happening to me alot.

TWO people have been going around changing names and aliasing people, they dont say anything..they just decon, kick any1 and they have vote hacks..cause there was only 12 people in server and 15 voted -.- and guess wat they voted..TO KICK...which was weird. They have been doing it on Ga/Gu and yaknet...i dont know what other servers, i have been recording them alot because i was 1 of their alias victoms..along with my mate ok-then. If i had admin on ga/gu i would ban then..cept..NO ONE IS...which is BS.

I'd like to say from what i have heard and seen from holyknight, he is a decent and (mostly) honest person. (Just like I try to be actually!)
Holyknight deserves trusting. At least, unless I havent checked right, since I never have seen him online in action... 0.0

And I myself? I'd like to try and purify my own name but that just doesn't work when I say so myself... (Also the reason I'm helping holyknight out here)

Hmm... Well, I guess most ppl here know my intention is never negative...
Well...
I _HOPE_ that _SOME_ ppl know, actually...

Hm...

Ah, well!

That's if he can get an admin to do it.

Get TJW's backport client and ask the admin to link your name with your GUID in admin.dat (that is, give you server regular status instead of unknown player). Good bye, imposters.

well it shouldnt be that hard anger !ban # 100000000000000000000000d how do u like that shit!!!!!

then u can tell shafe to edit the admin.dat to make it perm :P but i think 100000000000000000000000 days should be long enough

lol at beergarden we dont tolerate any shit.. u do shit u lose privlage of playing and being on server so u get perm banned unless u got a good enough reason to be unbanned or u give a substantial amount of beer for me and shafe to drink  :P

If the server is running TJW's patch just type !listplayers, returns something like
Code: [Select]
!listplayers: 10 players connected:
4 H 0  Unknown Player  (*XXXXXXXX)    Black Angel [PL]
 5 H 0  Unknown Player  (*XXXXXXXX)    Megagun'[DEF]
 6 H 4  Senior Admin    (*B1200085)    Bam-bam'[DEF]
check first number of line with the annoying player and type in console
Code: [Select]
/callvote clientkick <clientnum>
So if you would like to kick Megagun'[DEF] (just an examble, hes actually a nice guy  8)) you would type in:
Code: [Select]
/callvote clientkick 5

Happened on Fun-Zone last night, UnnamedPlayer connected then deconned everything and stole my name. He got kicked. Next game he returns and steals another player's name and kicks another player by exploiting some vote-kick bug whereby he starts a kick vote that nobody else can vote on (pressing F2 says "no vote in progress"), and does this again for the next game where most other players had left for other servers.

You can't vote in teamvotes with F1/F2 (yet). You'll have to type /teamvote y/n in the console.

/bind F1 "teamvote yes; vote yes"
/bind F2 "teamvote no; vote no"
Need help? Ask intelligently. Please share solutions you find.

Thats what we need, helpful players, not more powerful admins.

You'll regret that when you need to vote yes and no at the same time in both teamvote and global vote.

or just /bind F1 vote yes
/bind F2 vote no
/bind F3 teamvote yes
/bind F4 teamvote no

and if these binds interfere with your talking binds (like they did mine, just move ur talk binds down; theres 12 F keys, plenty of room :P

o and btw, if ne1 is still having trouble believing holyknight, hes a good dude, and MG shouldnt take away one of his refferals because of this happening. He plays very well, though i beat him 1 vs 1 more than not :P
will sort out my sig, or I will get banned.

HOW DO I SORTED SIG?

Is it only one person who does this? It'd be really nice if it was, it would make it so easy to block them.
