Ok....

So , on YakNet, a guy named LC shows up from time to time, and ALWAYS he gets massive numbers of kills in a short time. Many players on YakNet who are regulars and veterans call Hax on him. He rarely says anything, and just keeps playing, however, in the demo  I got where he is playing alien he admits it. Here are 2 demos, one of him playing human and one alien. He didn't kill as much as normal, probably because we were specing him, but take a look. You be the judge, aimbot or not ?

after watching the demos (the first one I think you already told us about, because I have the same thing :-? ), I don't think he really uses aimbot... not as human I don't think... I mean, I use shotgun and I can get kills like that, and he got killed pretty much too!
I didn't really see the end of the alien, but he sure uses ground headbites a lot! And I guess he is pretty good. But not sure... lets see what other people will say

I would say no cheating:

In the 1st demo, I counted roughly 15 misses with the shotgun.
In the 2nd demo, there were misses with the mara too.

I would say, it is some fairly skilled player.

@ a Turret:
/demo filename to watch, where filename is the name of the demo-file in your base/demos/ subsub-directory (without the .dm_69-extension)

/record filename to create a demo.

BTW: There's some helpful search-function.

slightly OT: How about adding that demoing-question to the FAQ?

Still there is the fact that in the alien demo he admits to "hax." However, he could just be acting sarcastic, maybe he is a good player. I have never seen anyone get as many kills as s1 human as him though, and usually several kills in a row in succession.

I was being sarcastic when I said "hax of course." I thought it was kinda obvious considering the way I said it and when, but it's just text so I guess it couldn't be all that clear.

Also, I never defended myself because it seemed pointless to try, especially since all you needed to realize that I wasn't aimbotting was spectator mode and knowledge of what an aimbot actually looks like in action. There were several experienced people on the server who said again and again that it didn't seem like I was aimbotting. But even then, you and several others concluded that I was using an aimbot regardless and attempted to votekick me several times, based on "evidence" such as twitching (on humans) or "always getting headshots" (on aliens).

Since it's pretty obvious (hopefully) that I'm not aimbotting, this thread is now about criticizing my human and alien play.  :P

Not cheating.
Good knowledge of map (mara jumping out of def human base, not a common route)
Good knowledge of default base weaknesses.
Twitchy is a sign of a high sensitivity mouse.
Focused head shots.  Most people have a hard time maintaining such focus.  I think I need to increase my mouse sensitivity :)
Still didn't have high kills.

I don't see how someone who plays both sides well could be aimbotting.  Is there an alien aimbot?  Besides your 12 year old brother I mean :P

Not sure why this was an issue  :roll:

OK,  demos have been posted.  The people have spoken.

Can we call this issue closed?  LC is not hacking.  And I am sick of hearing about it on yaknet.

Im am thankfull that my admins are concerned,  and I appreciate the good work they do to help keep yaknet a fun server.
I know yaknet would suck without  the likes of Beer, rawr, pinky, Scottsman, Jimmy, Plox and a few others...

Lets move on...

I admit i was concerned with the quiet one who killed everyone.  I never caught anything spectating that couldnt be done normally.  Also anyone knows if they have ever been good at a fps there r sceptics about legitness.   Let this show our determined efforts to keep the server clean.  Hope there is no hard feelings, and now i might play better against you since im not worried about catching a slip.

P.S. Turple if your referring to my play, i'm 19 not 12 lol. :(

It was a very dry joke related entirely to my age :D and it was not meant to point at anyone else, except the 12-14 year olds that are constantly kicking my @ss. :P They are, by their nature, human aimbots.
Wait, did you call me common? :D

Frankly, I like Yaknet quite a bit and have been playing there alot lately because of the general skill of the people and the good admins.

Well, I am a level 3 admin on KOCOUR and I have been spec'ing him alot. Not because I think he is cheating, Just because he is good. I learnt how to get ground headshots and many more tactics. It is better usally to have a low sensitivity. When I was a pwner at ET it took 30 cm to turn 180 degrees, Im unsure how people can play with such a high sensitivity.

I am unsure whether he hacks or not. But one thing which is annoying is when you get people go:

Let the admins decide on server and do /m messages if you want to inform him about a possible hacker as shouting it out is just plain stupid

The only thing I see in that first video is a good shotgunner fighting many dretches in wide open places who aren't very good at wallwalking or manuevering. Who again is cheating?
