List admin abusers here....

ill start with one

TBob of darklurkers lair is the biggest admin abuser iv seen in years, i had this bind that would be considred racist, so i got rid of it a while back but my old settings were restored when i went on darklurkers for some odd reason, i appologise and next thing i see is Tbob, just looking around for someone to admin abuse scream out RACIST, then mutes me... im liek wtf....

Please dont go to that server if hes there, its horrible people like that, which ruin this great game.

Dont Be afraid to speak up against admin abuse in this thread, they should be named and shamed for the tremulous community

Although I can see why your annoyed, that doesn't mean I agree with you.  Were you kicked?  No.  Were you banned?  No.  You were muted.  You could still play.  This sort of thing happens to everyone: there's no point in whinging to us about it.  If you are so annoyed at the admin for muting you, then take it out on the admin, NOT the server.

Admin abuse is a problem in all  games, from fps to rts. its somthing that should not be tolerated. We should name and shame admin abusers on tremulous, its not the point i got muted (10 times for no reason at all whatsoever) and it dosnt matter if its a mute, kick or ban. its still admin abuse

The admin muted you. Did you ask yourself any of the following questions before posting here:

Did the admin know your bind was a mistake?
Did the admin know you didn't mean it?
Have you witnessed this admin mute regularly for no good reason?
Have you witnessed this admin abuse his/her power in other ways?
Did you contact the admin to explain that it was a mistake - if so what was the reply?

You got off lightly - most admins will kick or ban when they feel the need to actually call someone a racist.

Finally it's generally a good idea to resort to the forums only when you are sure that an admin is abusing their power, and after you've attempted to talk to them without success.  Don't tell others to reject the server that you met the admin on because it isn't fair on that server. Also on that point remember that one person may be an admin on more than one server.

Admins can't abuse their rights because they are the ones that dictate the terms of play on their servers, if you don't like the rules on some server don't play there!!!! Alternatively you could go pay for your own server, playing on a free server is a privilege NOT a right

Any racism = ban on servers where I am admin.
How old are you? 10? Less?

Also, you have binds that do what? Brag about kills, or insult those who kill you or what?  People like that need muting, regardless. Chat is for talking about the game not spamming that you finally got a kill.

I don't know exactly what the rules are on Darklurkers but on MANY servers the Server Op have adopted TJW's rules of admins, or adapted them into what they like. These rules clearly state that admins can mute for whatever reason they want to. Using !mute isn't really a big deal. You can still play and finish the game. I'm surprised TBob didn't kick/ban you, as would have happened on many other servers.

You should be THANKING Tbob for being lenient and nice (he's a nice guy) and apologize to him for this lame attempt at a public flame.
