Where has handicap gone in tremulous? When, for instance, a good player vs a not so good player has a fight, it would be good to have the handicap to make the good players hits not as strong and when he gets hit, its stronger. The same thing as in quake3.

Thoughts?

AKAnotu

bad idea. pro's would hate it because after they worked hard and practiced to get good, some noob would own them with a rifle and no armor. the noob has no incentive to get better and the pro stops playing. everyone loses

There isn't that many new players, from what I understand.  Tremulous is a 'cult' game.

What happened to it? It's there, it's implemented, it's client side, and no one wants to give anyone else an advantage over them.

Survivor

It's hard enough to break through defences as it is. And they don't care about skill. Imagine instead of 5 bullets they can kill you in 3, see an md doing double damage? Instead of 3 or 4 slashes the tyrant will kill in 2. It just doesn't work out in team games.
I'm busy. I'll ignore you later.

Bah. It's there but doesn't work. I'll look into fixing that (not that anyone will use it)...
