I decided to jump in when this topic, originally about a glitch, turned into a public bashing of n00b because of his banning on a server. Whether its justified or not it doesn't matter, its your server, if you want to tell yourselfs that your right then go ahead, I never asked once that you rethink that decision anyway. If you look at this situation in a simple fashion like I have, then you need to realize thats each seperate incident is very much related.

A. A person goes on with a joke others don't understand.

B. A group goes on with a joke that the other person not only doesn't comprehend, but something that gives the unknowning person the wrong idea about what's really going on.

Your hear elderly making jokes based on people from fifty years ago, obviously a younger person won't understand the joke. In both cases, the other person/group just joked about something the other didn't completely understand. Is that worth a banning? According to the admins on the server yes, so I guess their right and situation solved.

If I call one of my friends a cunt, that probably wont care.
If I some random on the street and call them a cunt, someone is getting hurt.

This is the same. We all know PIE, and he knows up, and more importantly, we know what he finds funny etc.
Also, They were messing with PIE, n00b started messing with Odin, someone he new nothing about, not even any 3rd person viewing of jokes.

1st sentence, part of the ORIGINAL POST. 2nd sentence, you complaining that we had somehow veered from what was put forth in the ORIGINAL POST.

If someone wants a thread to be about a single topic, they should speak to a single topic.

Tuple, n00b made this post about a glitch, stated where and how he found it. I understand if you want to solve a problem privately based on what happened on the server then go ahead, but no one here has the right to go into another person's topic and start trouble. If you cared much about your "image", then instead of having defended yourself for the last 5 days you would have just kept this a private matter. Anyway, let me again finish by saying you were "right" about the whole thing:

Well now that your bringing real life into this argument, let me do the same.

Imagine we are at a party, about 8 people. 7 of them know each other, the other person just wandered in. At this party you wear name tags to identify yourself (I guess they assumed more people would show up). One of these people, with the rest of the group except the one stranger knowing its a joke, changes his nametag from "Donald" to "An Al Queda Terrorist". This stranger has heard a lot of very serious news about al queda on tv, and when he sees someone with a name tag he could only assume this person is serious and starts an argument with this person now identified as "an Al Queda Terrorist".

If you read what was written, PIE was being renamed to NooblerBOT, it was odin he started on.

...and if you two would have all read my comparison correctly I no where mentioned the first incident and already indicated numerous times that the admins on were correct in there decision depending on how you look at the situation and what beliefs the admins at the time had. However, the second incident was completely uncalled for and you can't expect the person on the outside to understand an inside joke. Clearly the time the members here have had being admins have clouded their judgement and their expectations on what strangers should and should not understand.

After reading a few topics here on this forum (namely the SST) its clear which members on this forum are able to act mature and which ones are not. Since this incident does involve a number of the people who posted rather obnoxiously in that topic there really isn't a point to keep trying in this one.

Thank you.. as i said before.. this topic has been long dead just let it rest now.

(SST thread has nothing to do with anything.. but on your way out consider this little nugget that some of us know more about SST than others, a lot of us have different experience levels and preferences and that can greatly change the way we react to it. I think that kind of comparison is a cop-out.)

I was just mentioning that a lot of people that posted here acted really harshly in the SST topic. It doesn't really matter what another person said, if all your going to do is insult a person just don't do it back. It wasn't like he was singling out any specific person to elicit that kind of response anyway...

I don't know the whole story, but I have played with n00b a good deal, and he wouldn't give out such a high compliment as accusing you of hacking, and mean it. Obviously he was only teasing, but on the other hand, I have seen his days where all he does is play the insult game, and that would deserve a kick.

I guess my opinion is that the server ops choose the admin, and they are to enforce the rules. If you don't like the people that run a server, then it probably isn't the best choice for you to play there, because everyone's just trying to have fun, and you can't have fun when you are harassing/being harassed.

Bottom Line: Anyone that makes the game unenjoyable should be removed from the game.

Honestly, I had fun with him and look forward to playing again.  The ban was for 1 day, a much shorter period of time then needed to read all of this drivel (my stuff included ;) , maybe especially)  %90 of this thread is much ado over nothing, or an investigation on moral relativism, depending on how you choose to look at it.

If noob was trying to liven this place up, SUCCESS! :D If by liven up, you mean not turn everything into an argument, failure! ;)

Ah, Drama.
