Does Tremulous need new stuff added?
Including, but not limited to:
1. New Human Weapons
2. New Human Equiptment
3. New Alien Classes
4. New Human Structures
5. New Alien Structures
6. New Teams

I hope to put a slowdown on the many suggestion threads for adding new stuff. Some are good ideas, some are decent ideas, and some are just bad ideas.

Yavin canyon. There are two ATST's that you can drive.

those big slow things? maybe, i played *something* troppers in the mean times and things got messed up in my memmory
Vehicles can be done, just glue player positions to the common point (like you glue spectators to other players position) and it should be ok, but trem is to small for them

Trem has vehicles already! Hint: they fly.
More seriously. I don't see the point given the maps are mid-to-small sized, and can't be bigger given some gameplay limitations.

Yes I want to drive my vehicle into the alien base, past all the defenses, and unload 5 painsawers who then proceed to win every game while all aliens can do is sit there spamming a join humans bind hoping for once to get on the winning side.

That is mighty selfish of you tremma.
... why would you want to ruin the game like that for everyone :(

I think the aliens need battlesuits however...and laser vision.

A flying tyrant, no.
A different flying alien, quite possibly.

On a side note, I am pleased at the support for new stuff!

Well.. lets get this thread back into reality and the realm of usefulness, and go ahead and state in big bold letters:
NO FLYING ALIENS

Unless that is you go in and make a mod yourself.

I think that flying aliens (if there is any) should have a stamina meter for how long they can fly.

Another alternative is to have an advanced dretch (hear me out) and clicking would engage a grapple that does no damage but hooks on to, humans and structures alike, and it allows the adv dretch to go up on to jetters and take them down. To even things out maybe the grapple travels slowly, and/or goes in an arc.

But seriously Iv'e gotten a jet pack on atcs and it took five adv goons to take me out, if there was a alien grapple or a short range flying alien it would even things out a bit.

Just my two cents.

Here is an idea for a flying alien.
All values can be changed for balance.

Sprint key turns flying off, you can walk around, quiet and stealthy.
Sprint key turns it back on, and you fly and emit a loud buzzing noise.
Can slash people, advanced can grab people and move them around.
Battle-suits are immune to grab, and grabbed people can still turn.
However, this will allow you to drop people from heights or into deathtraps, or move them near your base or friends.
Take too long with it and he'll just shoot you down.

Speed yet to be determined, HP and damage yet to be determined.

I like this idea.

As for changes to humans:
1.    short range med in a backpack like batpack--no bsuits
2.    short range arm in a backpack like batpack--no bsuits, only allows reload, no weapon or armor buying
3.    Replace the luci with grenade launcher/rpg/rocket launcher/bazooka--it would be extremely powerful, but not a base defense weapon, super long reload time, possibly no bsuit or no jetpack or both

The arm and med backpacks would help get the humans out of base, as they wouldnt have to return for health or ammo, but they would require groups to really be effective.
Replacing the luci would get rid of lucispam--no secondary fire(except possibly for grenade launcher for different fuses).  Even more so than with the luci, someone with one of those would need to get out of base.

A rifle upgrade that felt more like an assault rifle than autopistol would be cool.

extending the tech levels to S4 to stretch out the benefits of the Luci-cannon would be nice.

new tricks for the Humans would always be fun--spring traps or patrol bots.

flying aliens!

Overall I think the game needs more maps with different attitudes, than more stuff that might unbalance the game. Stretching some things out to S4 to allow more steps in between might make the game even better.
