I was accused by an alien of teamkilling, and immediately banned for 30 minutes from SST.


I learned my lesson and will never again teamkill.

Basic moderating guidelines:

• Do not lock topics/delete posts lightly. Less moderation is more.
  
• Lock threads/delete content of topics containing illegal/offensive material (Pornography/Warez/Cracks).
  
• Swearing and moderate insults are allowed, do NOT moderate this.
  
• Delete discussion of game cheats/bug exploits. Forward information to developers if it is a new exploit.
  
• Suggest cessation of excessive flame wars (by which I mean those which have degraded to insults only), then lock the topic if it does not return to being on topic within a few posts.
  
• Lock spam bot topic on sight. Record the account name and posting IP address then forward to one of Timbo, jex or Who-[Soup]. Once you have done this you may optionally delete the topic entirely.
  
• If you have any doubts, ask one of the developers.
  

They will bitch and moan and beg for locks.. it is up to you to understand that things like this do not warrant a lock.. even if they irk you with the fact they are the same thing over and over again, and they don't contribute really.. this is not lockworthy.

If you disagree with me unlocking it please discuss it with timbo.. i will be suprised if he says it was the right thing to do.. if he does by all means let me know.

Just because its different its dumb? I like SST (in moderation) i would play there more often to experience a nice break from the average small games im used to playing, but the horrible adminship i see when i join, and that i see on this forum keep pushing me further away.

I am not sure if you really read the "Donate" thread and that it actually was Confess that started up with the hate:

It's just not in my blood to get friendly with people that, on one side, want money from me and then start name calling when they don't get it.

Now that might not be SST per se, but you have to admit, that SST is not only the server itself but also the people and admins there and their unchecked behavior.

So reading about idiotic bans, getting personal in an other wise civilized discussion make me / us think of SST insted of the individual person.
While it's nice to have such dedicated players, that defend the server. You have to admit that doing it in such a way is bad for SST .)

Thank you PIE!  Finally.  Someone that made a mistake and actually "stepped up to the plate " (as we would say in the states) and admitted it.  That's almost refreshing and definetly a change from most of what I see in here.
