My personal SST story

So, all the time I was wondering why people keep picking on that SST server... Yes, admins are strange and lag is high (or lag is strange and admins are high), but I didn't see it being bad enough to warrant all the animosity.

Anyway, just some minutes ago I had connected to SST and was spectating the match at ATCS (humans were crushed pretty quick when SD came), and so it was nearing the last few seconds of human base... and I was still spectating... and humans were pretty angered, shouting "TKer" and the like... so it was all pretty interesting - and all of a sudden, I'm out of the game: "You have been banned by [some funny-colored name]; reason: tking."

This wasn't my first kick or ban. It was, however, the first time I was banned for tking in a match where I was all the time spectating... That's pretty unique. Though it gives some sense to the picking and animosity against SST :-) and gives the revelation that SST admins are indeed not really "top-of-the-line" (and that being kicked/banned on SST doesn't necessarily mean you _deserve_ it :)

May i also ask who kicked you, what your in game name was?

There are only 2 bans for the 14th, and neither is perm:

• Garota_Gostosa, for tk base
• green man, which was a kick, for tker/douchebag.

Also, i have a nagging thought that this is just an attempt to slander sst again.

Just at your admins *cough Dr. ShakuraJohnlithon* (or whatever the hell his name is) I suggest you wipe all the admins besides yourself and Confess of course, then start over on your process, giving admin to not only people that make over 5 kills but people who are smart, have good judgement, and are mature.

*sigh* A new SST complaint. Yes, SST does have admins who are careless. But it's kinda funny, cause this isn't so surprising.

happened to me once, someone was sawing H base, so i opened console, made fast listplayers and kicked .. just to realise i kicked the wrong person, the nicks were kinda similar + same color pattern

this is not new.  You can be kicked/banned for anything and everything.  This happens to practically everyone.

Yes, usually, if an admin bans the wrong person, they will undo the ban. This happens on many servers. If you are wrongly banned, try reconnecting. again, usually, it will be removed.

I can't stand servers with shit loads of modifications. Beergarden FTW (it is starting to undergo changes *sigh*) I would love to find a server with no pounce damage, no FF ,and 100 bp.

@Paradox: Sent you a PM; also, I've tried reconnecting afterwards, but was just told that I'm banned for ~29 minutes

@confess: I don't play on SST anyway (for long time already, mostly because of the lag); that day, I was bored so I thought it might be a nice idea to just watch a match on the only server where some people were around... So, actually I don't care much if I get kicked on SST or what comes of it, but I found this funny enough to post :-)
