Try this:
Start a server then open your console and type /dedicated 2. Then u become a console on your desktop but don't close it!
Then Start the game again and search your server in the serverlist.
For more ask others.

Shadow.

When you create choose internet, then do what Shadow said.

This reason its still showing up as Local is being you need to forward the right port. I'm guessing that when you connect, it says "Connecting to [Your LAN IP Address] ?

So yeh, just forward the right port in your router. I myself have no idea what the port number is, lets hope another person can post it here for you.

All the best,

Bug!

real men just upload their important stuff on ftp, and let the rest of the world mirror it.

(Yes, well known quotes are much better when taken out of context.)

Back on topic, i need help too!

-Which post number do i forward (how do i find out)?

and

-When i try to forward a port, it asks for an IP Address, my IP address is DYNAMIC, not static, so do i have to change it everytime my IP changes?

Thanks

Which *port* number? 30720 by default
Your computer has a local IP address. That is the IP address meant, NOT your external IP address.

Is it worth mentioning that despite the fact that my server appears on the local list (and ONLY on the local list) it still receives connections from internet clients who see it in their internet list? Don't assume that because it's only on the local list, it's only a local server.
Undeference, his local IP could still be dynamic.
cp blast, you'll have to set it every time, yes, unless you can get something like uPnP to do the job for you.

Thanks for the replies, i never knew it was only my LAN IP, not the external.

Yes, my lan IP is always the same, has been for 2 years, lol.

Thanks for the port number too  :)

O, i never knew that either, i'll get my friend online and ask if he can see my server.

Thanks lots

If you are running a dedicated server on the same LAN as a client machine and using port forwarding, you may have to change the port used by the server and forward that new port through your router.  The problem is that your router (with port forwarding enabled) will forward all port 30720 traffic to the server and your client will see nothing and not be able to join your own server.

Some say they have never had the problem.  I have experienced this problem when running a server on my LAN with several different games.

Your milage may vary.
