Lol... i know this is korny, but how about, a rocket launcher instead of luci? so it fires these bolts, that do half the damage of luci, and are twice the speed, with NO fallout, except a teeny fallout of 1 foot radius... meh just an idea... Secondary could be, it just spits these out fast as shit, and it does little damage like luci secondary fire

Why not simply suggest to cut the luci-damage by 0.5?

my suggestion was to remove the secondary firing altogether and allow single-charged shots
erm, the other part of my suggestion was a complex system where the luci shots get smaller and lose charge the farther they go, while doing damage to everything within a certain range of the shot. and shots not just stopping when they hit something "organic"

This is called a BFG. I think the UAC holds a patent for that one :P

eh, not quite the same (I put a link in there)... and I don't think UAC's patents are valid on other planets without any governments
and patents aren't normally valid for over 1000 years

Oh yeah, I had forgot about that post of yours.

So, basicaly you wanted to nerf 2 of 3 weapons used to kill big aliens and tranform then into ultimate dretch killing tools. Not sure it is a good idea, I like it when the Tyrants are far away from my base and Pulse rifle with its slow projectile just doesn't cut it :o

Luci is only lethal to tyrants when up close anyway. Unless you have dumb tyrants who can't dodge the shot(mind you'd have time to wander for a while, make some tea and get back again before it hit you) or from a dretch.

That is unless you're on of the crowd who can knock off full primary fire with the speed of secondary fire.

with my idea you can safely overcharge shots (if you're careful) and since more charge = more speed, tyrants would have trouble dodging the shots that would actually hurt... if the tyrant is close enough

As a sidenote, wouldn't a 'rocketlauncher that fires bolts instead of rockets' just be called a Bolt Launcher.

Naa, it's a bolt thrower.

i like the rocket launcher idea, but the rockets would have to haul ass and do some heavy damage (otherwise its not a rocket launcher :P ), or start off slow and gain speed as they move along.

i wonder if a stickyRPG guns is possible to make  :-?
