blegh! I don't really like controlling games. I prefer Internet RPG kind of games so while I play Trem, CS (getting soon), and DOW:DC, I can just click and click and wait fora long time ;)

um..Savage 2 is still in development. Unless you're referring to the 2.00e patched version of Savage 1 ;)

megagames.com also has a huge list of free games, just sorted by date added so not much help.

There's Alien Arena.

I figure some of you guys would like it.

It's open source FPS, Q2 based.

It's got sort of a "Mars Attacks" theme going on.  It's mostly DM, although there is a gamemode involving vehicular combat, and a really halfbaked CTF mode.

I haven't played it for a hell of a long time, but at the time, I absolutely hated the weapon "balance".  Didn't run well for me either.

That was a long time back, though, and it might have improved.  I'm not bored enough to check.

There's also 2 single player missions, although they are kind of bland, and one of them has a point where you can get stuck (unless they fixed it).

Nexuiz is super cool, though.  It's another FPS, DarkPlaces based.  It's linked to above.  It used to be mostly DM, although now CTF has a pretty good hold.  You probably aren't going to be able to get a good ping in North America, though, which can make the game stupidly frustrating since its version of the Railgun is rather popular.

Alien Arena? Blegh, I didn't like it :(
I tried that game and it wasn't very fun...
I don't like games where you have to "find" guns on the ground
and it was confusing for CTF
and the maps were annoying
and the starting setup was confusing

My reviews on some games I tried (because I was freaking bored)
Dark Oberon: Neat, good graphic (those characters were made from clays, did you know that?) but couldn't find any people online :(

Darsana: Look neat, can be undead or knights. Medieval FPS No people though :(

Battle Position: Couldn't try, can't register =/ but looks really fun. Like Fortress and Gunbound except you don't wait for others to shoot you. You jsut shoot at each other ;)

Games I FREAKING WANNA TRY!
Savage: Like, seriosuly, it's RTS/FPS game! You can be the commander (RTS) or the warrior (FPS)
FEAR Combat: Was gonna try it, but takes too much memory... same as FEAR except you play multiplayer only... FOR FREE!
Infinity Empire:Just... awesome... MMORTS where you make your own base with airships and robots. Your country or w/e develops even when you are offline!

that's about it... except for those awesome looking MMORPGS I pretty much wanna try... but... meh...

Also, I didn't really put any gun-shooting FPS games because TREMULOUS IS THE BEST FOR THAT!

Updated Rappelz.

It's a free MMORPG.(one of the best i've seen)
U can buy items etc. play online etc. etc. It's very interesting but nothing for me. Many peoples downloaded it! Don't worry there are many players playing this game
Warning download size is 1,67 GB!
Have fun!

America's Army takes 2 GB now with new version. But it's pretty cool.
You can be teams fighting AI (new version)
you can be medic by taking classes (real-like... boring...)
you can be airborne trooper (only on airborne maps)
and you can be special forces (only on special forces map)
you can also now ride jeeps (new version)
I don't really know about the new versions, I was gonig to play it, but I had to retake all the tests I've done so far... waste of time if you do that...
also, tried Battle Position (AT LAST!) and it was pretty okay... not graphical, and kind of laggy sometimes, and only few people mostly. But still fun!
As for Darsana, ... let me just say that when you start a server, you have to download for a long time...

Does anyone actually play Darsana now?

I tried it a while back, but the servers were completely empty.
