Spawn Timer

Implement a spawn timer so we can see how long it currently takes to get chomped by a camping goon spawn. I hate waiting endlessly and not knowing how long it will take to spawn. A timer helps to reassure you how long you have until you get to play again, like Enemy Territory's "reinforcement time".

Even if we code it now, it won't be available until 1.2.0.
If my answer to your problem doesn't seem helpful, it means I won't help you until you show some effort to fix your problem yourself!
1.2.0 release's been delayed for 5:48:00 already because of stupid questions.

Or even better, a spawn selection. It shows a picture of the spawn, with background info, in a spectator like view, and you move around spawns by pressing left and right, or whatever you have bound for left and right movement. When you find the one you like, you press the fire bind. This would allow builders to spawn back at base where it is safe, and attackers to spawn on front lines, to attack.

Paradox, you mean something ET styled? That would be nice though it'll make spawning a bit weird, because I prefer to just wing it on every spawn.  As long as I don't spawn into a tyrant, or a luci.

This telenode, serial number 5435256, model S64-10, was originally meant as a prototype for the S65 series, but due to growing demand was marked as S64-10 and shipped. Inspected by 9182, it was cleverly placed facing the wall.

That is a good idear paradox.  Not just for the spawn thingy, but the fact that I can actually spectate now during death.

yeah, but that would only be good for high BP servers. on default, it would be quite useless.

How so? Aliens can spam eggs anywhere.  Hums can use repeater with telenodes too; which is especially useful when moving a base and you need players to help instead of randomly spawning.  You don't need high BP either; just two spawns which are far from eachother in such a scenario would benefit from this.

it looked as if he was talking about a forward outpost, which is unlikely on a 100bp server.

if u can spectate while ur dead, cant u just find where the enemys base is, where the defences r. n also in sd couldin it be used to find the last eggs when humans r lookin to find them?

Your sig suck

I just hope that that "spectate during death" is limited to follow view on teammates and there wouldn't be any problems like that.
urphy's rules of combat
8 ) Teamwork is essential; it gives the enemy someone else to shoot at.
18 ) Make it too tough for the enemy to get in and you can't get out.
