Mikrobitti, the finnish magazine of shit (these days), had it as free game of the month

Taiyo.uk

It was mentioned on the Nexuiz forums

When it was added as official Debian package, it was in the list of new packages after an update... And the description sounded interesting enough to try it.

Was looking for free games here:
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/games/

Was shocked to find that Trem actually dared to run steadily on my terrible computer.
lawl, people still play Tremulous ?

player1

A_Total_noob you give me hope. Surely with 2GHz Core2Duo & 1GB of RAM, I should be able to run this game. I think I have about 32MB of video memory (less?). I believe it's 64MB of RAM, shared with the CPU, that the GMA950 gets.

Now here's my question. Is Tremulous any good? How do you like the stages and evolution and buying and building? Is it deep, or cumbersome? Are there servers out there worth playing? It sounds a lot better than a TeamFortress sniper-fest. Is there an active Trem community? What mods should I get? What other Trem sites are good? Anybody here also play Sauerbraten?  What's a good servers for n00bs? Should I build, repair or just kill stuff? Human or alien? Favorite artifact/activity in-game?

Thanks.

JumpHaround

Ultimate-Guitar forums.

Shame hardly any of those people go on Trem now...

TinMan

I'm a Quake junkie and stumbled upon it on my search for the Quake 3 Gloom mod.

I missed out on the [LLJK] days but I'm here now.

xyblor

I found Tremulous by searching for games on Sourceforge.

Through an epiphany, I discovered water. Water caused me to think of great FPS's with unhealthy-looking spiders, green Harvard professors (read Fahrenheit 911), steel mech's and hippy humans with oversized ears. Thus I discovered Tremulous.
here is the love?

Didn't miss much.  It seemed like most players with [LLJK] tags were deconners.

I can't recall where I found Trem.

Might have been linked to from the True Combat Elite forums.

Henners

We've been over this countless times.

LLJK just means the player was a member of the something awful forums. The deconners were nearly all impersonators who had a grudge against SA goons and so tried to sully the name.
