I don't really have a chance to play a domination game yet, but I have ran around in the MG server and tested some of its features. I think there are still quite many potential problems and flaws that need to be looked into.
1. I don't see how human team can claim any domination points at s1, since a decent alien team can dominate any area outside the human base easily. If you take the approach that a team start with a few bp and they must capture domination points to build up decent defense in the main base, then human must be the side at a disadvantage since alien can do well with eggs alone. Any reckless rush of human at s1 only means feeding, and lead to the destruction of the main base easily. The only way to survive seems to be moving the whole base to a domination point, but I guess it isn't how it is supposed to be played.
-- I suggest making the role of the domination point different. Domination points should be creeps/repeaters that provides a set of bp (like 50) when captured. So a team can quickly capture a point close to them and start building a small base there, and use it to further advance and attack other domination points. So a server can leave the bp as 100+ for the main bases and one team would not be eliminated immediately if it fails to capture a point.
2. Camping is still possible in domination if a team captures the point and quickly use the bp in the main base (I don't really know how the extra bp from a domination point works, just guessing). I would suggest making domination a victory condition, which if a team captures all the domination points on a map, a countdown of victory will be started. So that a team has to fight for 1 point at least and excessive camping or infinite egg hunts can be prevented.
-- In this system I proposed, crappy public human team my lose very quickly as they usually don't have the motivation to leave their camp fire. However, I guess it is better than the system right now as the human at least has something to fight for outside. Once human gets a domination point and a front base up, attacking as a human shouldn't be as depressing that you are being dretch spammed to death once you move out a fair distance from the base. Even if the human are cowardly enough to ignore their domination plan altogether, we can quickly advance to the next map and wish that the teams won't be stacked too badly again, right?
3. Animation on capturing or a domination zone is needed, it is very hard to know if one is capturing or not.
Last but not least, I think nodes teleportation would work great in domination mod *hint*
Anyway, these are just my preliminary guess. I can't say for sure until we get our domination server running, though, I hope you could consider these suggestions.
