As for the Neutral's post, listen here.  Yes, the point is to have fun, but you can't have fun without rules.  Your rules are mostly right, but mine are more complete, if not worldwide accepted.  You, having less than 10 posts on the forum, shouldn't try to be a control freak.  And btw, powerover and I are now on good terms with each other, I think.  Anyway, I will always follow my rules, and so will gain more respect than someone who decons, luci spams, team-switches, hacks, feeds, etc.  Your respect doesn't mean much to me.

One time or the other camping actually is a valid strategy, as is luci-spamming. And your team jusst might off for the worse, just because you refuse to use those tactics.

If a team wants me to luci spam, then I shouldn't be on that team.  Just like, sometimes poor people have to steal bread to live, but that doesn't make it okay from the viewpoint of society and law.

So maybe that analogy wasn't so great.  Anyway, who made that sig?  I want to tell them to get a life...(j/k)

floodbud, while I have respect for your rules, one thing that is important to realize, that even if magically became so awesome on the forums, if you became so good that it had to make some uber-pwnage-sklznewbz-1337 rank, that doesnt mean a thing if you really want to influence them.  As far as I see it, we are all people, it is merely human nature to not want to be pushed around, that is why I suggested guidelines, not rules.  

Next, I am going to be cruel, stating that "My rules are more complete" then something along the lines of "Be quiet newb, Im no control freak" is a little hypocritical.  But as is with me posting my "Guidelines" I just wanted to voice my opinion, like everyone else here, so go ahead and say that you hate me, because I voiced my opinion, you can too.

1. Floodbud - I see only one issue with the rules. They are pointless.
Im sorry, I dont wish to come off as a rude person - its not my style, unlike other people on this forum, however, I wish to tell you that...
a.Pretty much all of the rules are already common sense.
For example, "No feeding".
You need to understand the feeder isnt feeding intentionally, and is likely trying their best. Feeding isnt fun. Instead, just tell the UnnamedPlayers to stick together in groups.
b.Other rules, pretty much most people follow anyway;
Luci spamming counter-measures are enforced on a variety of servers, and as for "No Hacks", well, thats a bit like Teamkillinf - if you are found out, you WILL be banned.
c.Other rules, such as "No deconning", well, there is nothing you can really do about that other than working as a team to kick the deconner, or enforcing a designated builder system.
Other than that, a deconner doesnt care if the rule says "No deconning" - he will still do it anyway. Hell, whats the worst that can happen - he'll get kicked for 3 minutes ? Ooh ooh, even worse, he'll be banned for 3 Hours!
Deconners live above the law - they do it for fun. If there is no admin or counter-measures (Designated builder system) to enforce the rules, there is little the average player can do to avoid a deconner.


But yeah, there are some decent rules, like "No flaming".
Seriously, if a few of us acted just a little bit more civilized, the world would be a much better place.

This is the story of my life.

I got kicked from the beer-garden server and BANNED PERMANENTLY for deconning. I was a n00b and didn't know that what I was doing was bad.  I think that issues like these need fixing.  I will never decon again...and see, already I've gained some respect.

A_Total_noob, basically you just repeated what everyone else said, maybe you should read the rest of the thread. :wink: I appreciate it.

I fed when I was a n00b--part of the learning process.  TRUE feeding is doing it on purpose because your friend is on the other team.

I too can can remember my dim and distant totally non-leet days, I couldnt understand things and deconned stuff cos I could, I hadnt got the hang of building at that stage. I used to think that Tyrants were absolutely huge and absolutely legendary and so damn hard to get. Now most off the magic of being new has worn off and Im a decent-ish player.
