how about a sniper rifle for the humans? bout 5 shots to a clip and 3 clips to carry around. i reckon damage should be enough to take out a dretch in one hit (ergo 25 hp damage a shot)

now before you shout out NOOB! and trow things like fruit and insults at me, i have an idea for the alien side. i'm thinking something with tentacles (yep not really thought this one through :D ) slightly ranged melee maybe?

ok... i'ma go now before people start throwing stuff...  :eek:

Timbo already made this mod. Go to your local armory and unload 350 credits for a Mass Driver.

not really. i just didn't think the massdriver specifed as a sniper rifle. oh well. (still, it'd be nice to see a scope on something.) and i did read the manual. very thourghly (ten times at last count. yes i still can't really shoot for life. though i'm gettinggood with the rifle)

damn. now i feel really stupid...

edit: with hindsight, i suppose i should've realised. no game is complete without headshotting you as you walk through to door. and with that revelation, throw stuff at me. yes dretches as well (fingers crossed)

How many servers have the Mass Driver zoom feature disabled? It seems like it just doesn't work on some servers. Is this an aethestic decision or a balance issue? Is using the scope considered to be some sort of unfair advantage? Has anyone else noticed the 'Z' key not working on the MD on certain servers?

On a related note, if some sort of sniper/camper weapon were to be created, I would favor something even more sneaky, like a sniper rifle that fired poison darts (the enemy victim would become a plague carrier), a remotely-controlled explosive device (the "tagged" enemy would appear on radar or the sniper's view would be that of the "tagged" enemy), or a laser beam (which would kill a dretch in one shot). Of course camping snipers are susceptible to sneak attacks, too. Dretched from above, or sniped by adv goon are two ways to die while zoomed-in and scoping for victims.

Aliens would need some sort of cloaked basi as counterbalance.

It's +button5 in the latest svn, and it doesn't work for me. I have that bound to a key, and while it's held I can't fire.

If there is palgue weapon it should come from alien side and close contact weapon. Long ranged is too over powered if it caries mass kill projectiles. plus the fact that it's poison weapon (long duration)
Explosive "tag" weapons needs friendly fire to be fair and death should not disable the bomb. Slow firing speed and damage around 50 so dreches dies but basilisk needs bit more than that.

Admittedly we already have the md as a sniper; but I dont like it.
I dont like the particles when it hits something, it makes you feel as though it isnt very accurate at all.
A new HUD gun and no or little particles, and I would love it.
My favorite player is Jesus, because everything is forgiven when he respawns.
