Mods and Mapping should not be split into two boards each.  Sometimes a release might have a problem and the developer asks, and the solution (or at least a link) gets put in that thread, not the "appropriate" board.

So that will continue to happen. And then people with more general questions can ask in the correct forum. Or, the modder can just ask in the correct forum, and most likely get a faster answer, since those who might be able to help may not read every release thread

Good web design cant be taught.

1st rule:  Who are the users and what do they want.

The goal of this forums isn't hooking new users, its helping current ones.

The '2 seconds to hook and new customer' rule only applies to people selling something, people who come here are already interested, so we have longer to get there attention before they go else where, and as such organisation beats shock and awe flashy marketing hype.

Shoutbox would just be spammed to its death, get one idiot on here spam spam spam, then another goin spam spam spamz0rz, and we have a spammed up shoutbox no one wants to looks at. Plus we dont get +1 post count for shoutboxes, and we know for some of the forum post whores, post count is everything
