Hey all. Today's little rant is about people who beg for credits and evos. Have some pride. Earn your upgrades. Yesterday I heard a player say: "I just need four evos." Four!?! What the holy freaking hell? It's one thing to say: "I need an evo for a basi run at the reac." Or even: "Hey I gave you guys all my evos and now I need a couple." With many servers utilizing Share, Donate, Overflow, and Retribution, how the hell hard can it be to earn some evos? I am t3h suxx0rz player, and even I can still get evos. Try going out and killing something. Hell, try just going out and damaging something. Get one evo, evolve to basi, get some booster poison, and head-slash every Human you see, then run like hell. Hide, heal, get more poison, and repeat as necessary. Then wait for the evos to come rolling in. Don't take on opponents you can't beat, stop running straight at enemies, and for fuck's sake, QUIT BEGGING!

I only play with servers that don't have any sort of share/donate/wtfever patches. Still, it seems it's become so common to have share enabled that I still get noobs all the time that will ask for evos and creds even when it clearly states on the MotD that it isn't enabled. Annoying, to say the least.

On the servers that I play on, persistent begging is considered to be spamming. As such, persistent beggars are muted.

yesterday i joined a game on gloom2beta2 and it had camping s3 humans (ya rly) and s3 aliens attacking. withing 20 seconds i had 2000 creds, without having shot a single bullet yet

asking for evos, i think is only acceptable when trying to go for the early goon rape before the builders get turrets up or when getting ur team ready for an sd rush. other then that, you should just dretch around a little get some head shots and let the big guys get the kill and you get the evo

I dislike share/donate/overflow. Lowers the skill level of the game and makes it too much like an arcade game. Its fun but not for every game.

I don't know any arcade games that implement a share feature.. mainly because there's not often a guy to share with. The nearest thing to share, when you do have a friend, is when you give him coins to play on his machine more.

I, personally, am very generous during the game. This is only because I'm confident I can get the points back though. If I do ask for money, it's more like "if you can spare some change, good sir" rather than "Give me your money! This is a muggin'!"

Well, sharing and begging are two different pairs of shoes.
I think its a waste to have 9 evo, you looking at a nother dozen kills or so before you die, and you don't share.

Asking for an extra evo to get adv goon with people that know you is also not begging. But yeah, joining and saying "need 5" usually get ignored, Unless its someone I know who is not to shy sharing themself.

Actually, comment. This is shitspam, wtf. Im sure you know what I meant. Your post was completely unneccesary, and is a perfect example of the horrid state of decay that is plaguing this community. Or if it's someone that you know will help your team. I tend to donate when I have 9, or share when a "friend" joins.
It's hilarious on SST, I can rush 3 times in a row as a tyrant (15 evos) and even if I don't kill anyone during those rushes I still end up with 9 more evos.

yes, when im full i don't bother sharing unless someone whom i know is good and will use the credits/evos well. cause when im full im usually on sst and overflow is on so my creds will go to the top killers on my team until they get full. When im on a smaller server i try to rush when i get full creds/evos and use them on the base instead of just dieing cause a couple of chainsuits ganged up on me. they get the credits but what do i get? nothing so when killing their base i get a step closer to winning the game

yesterday i helped a team mate get a goon, (gave him 1 evo) and together we raped the base. who knows what would have happened otherwise?

Damn straight. I was playing a match yesterday where I was doing basi runs at the enemy base while 4 to 6 rants stood around scratching their snouts and slashing anything that came around the corner, enemy or otherwise. I don't mind killwhores, but take a friggin' turret down every ten minutes or so, just to show an understanding of the game.

I don't donate or share unless I feel like it. I used to donate all the time and I realized that you won't get it back. I only share with people now and only people that I respect, game wise.

I agree. People who are building (properly) or repairing, or who help during the move, or who'll go decon the old base, or who use chat for something other than taunting and begging, or who actually attack enemy structures are worthy. Or maybe board leaders. It's like admin status. If you gotta ask, you ain't worthy.

The only use is for when you have to leave before the game is over, or arrive late. but even then its lame.

If I have to leave, I continuously rush the enemy base until I am completely out of evos/creds. And if I arrive late, I prefer not to play at all.

Both good points, although sometimes I get called away and don't have time to rush a lot.

And arriving late is an interesting one.
I wont join if one team is about to win, or the smaller team is stacked, but otherwise I always join the losing side.

It's okay when:
1. The beggars are good and can benefit the team.
2. They arrive to a game late and doesn't want to feed
3. The one being begged to has a lot of evos/credits and need enemies to attack other targets.

It's not okay when:
1. They suck.

I don't really see any other reason why it's not okay. Normally people should practice with their aiming with rifle/dretch before wasting away credits and evos with more advance weapons/class. It is annoying when people constantly beg, but teammates should help one another because its near impossible to take on the enemy without their help.

asking for creds/evos is one thing

constanly spamming: "I NEED evos!" or begging for like 4 evos or 600 creds is just flipping annoying

repair something, guard the granger/OM/eggs, get ur own evos & creds, help better equipped players to damage the enemy

spec if you arrive late

or just suck it up and go out and earn some without feeding too much

I agree with David (!?!, j/k), if I'm joining a game in progress, I join the losing/smaller/less-stacked team; it's more of a challenge.
