Perhaps you mean C&C3: Tiberium Wars.
Mhmn - they are not the same.
Red Alert 3 would have to be set in the Red Alert universe - TW is set in the Tiberium universe. Two different yet vaguely linked settings.

Spore has been in the works for about a decade now, just because it's been shown to the public doesn't mean it's anywhere close to having a release.

Daikatana is one of those games that had hype, was launched, and then everyone's like ... Quake 3 looks sweet, what's this shit? For the Quake II engine though, I love Daikatana and would like to see a Daikatana II, possibly on the Doom 3/Quake 4 engine...or maybe even Tech 5 :P

@Tinz: It turned out for me that Deus Ex was almost everything that Daikatana had promised to be (or at least had most of the supposed RPG elements, and a cool magic sword) while Quake 3 Arena provided the missing bits (AI that was more vicious than talkative, AI you could isues commands to, etc.), and that Daikatana was more about shooting frogs that sounded like arcade shooting-gallery bells and DM glitch-exploits than anything else. An hour of shooting frogs to get a grenade launcher to shoot frogs with? If John Romero had made me his bitch, it was by stealing my twenty bucks. I traded it for DX1. I really wanted to like that game, but in the face of Tribes/Renegades, Q3a, Rune & UT/U1 modz, it didn't stand up. Hell I went and got myself a Playstation1 and Q2 and had more fun.

So, yeah, I'd lke to see Romero and Killcreek make that up to me. Although if I could get Daikatana to run on this MacBook, I'd load it up right now. (Really need SP fix.)

Speaking of Tribes (aren't I always?), did you know RenwerX still exists? And they're working on a Torque engine game?

@Player1
Yeah, Deus Ex is great, it's a genre of it's own with System Shock close to it. Daikatana is still one of my favourite multiplayer games that I still play, you can get "Daikatana DM" for free, John Romero approved. Dude, the frogs are leet and then there's the FREAKING MUMMIES!!! lol. I like the weapons and maps a lot more than many other Quake 2 mods. Don't get me started on the friggin vorpal sword, it's right next to F.E.A.R.'s Penetrator with my favourite weapons evar.
I'm into all games id, I like games that go beyond just FPS though, like Heretic and Hexen are in my book of great games, cast spells in an FPS and you get a sword!

A game that fits in here as utter failure is Doom 3. Doom 3 was so hyped with video releases and screenshots, then it comes out and it's like "omg...SCARY!" and then a half hour later it's not even fun anymore because you ruined all your pants, another half hour and it's not scary anymore for some reason it's just boring as all hell and repetative, imps teleporting behind you all the time and stuff like that. The enemies were all clowns, I really wish they'd just stuck with more traditional characters from past Dooms instead of spiders with upside down heads...
Doom 3 was the biggest letdown of a game for me evar, but if it didn't happen then that sweet engine wouldn't have been made, and I do like that engine. Quake 4 isn't as bad as Doom 3 in single player, I can actually play it, and then Quake 4 online is some of the sweetest gameplay I've ever played. I hope that with Quake Wars coming out they'll open source the Doom 3 / Quake 4 engine so good mods can be made. Prey was kinda creepy, the doorways are alien anuses, that's just messed up.
