I don't actually see my desktop all that often.  Running KDE on a gig of ram was killing me, so I switched to fluxbox.  Now I only need 2gig of ram pretty badly instead of horribly badly

Best change I've ever made.  Now all I need is fluxbox on beryl so that I need ram horribly again.

Like to keep my desktop clean of icons, so I use little toolbar thingies at the bottom instead.  Works out pretty well.
