not neccasserily, if a granger can't exit from the front, they exit from the top
why, i'm not sure...but me and someone else was playing around, he entered
the hovel and i blocked the exit, he exited from the top.so i'm guessing with
the telsas blocking the exit, he'd still exit from top

Unless you mean the tesla is blocking it (in which case it wouldn't need to be a tesla), it will still come out the front.

There's a possible solution though: Have them always come out the top. What's the betting, though, that this would just lead to an exploit that involves exiting the top?

Patch the problem, not the environment in which the problem occurs.

If I may make an observation?  This glitch appears to not be possible to be done on the walls in the human base; I've often wondered whether it's the thickness of the walls in the alien base that are the issue here.

This is all hearsay anyhow, the hovel is virtually useless and adds nothing to the gameplay, it would be far more pragmatic to drop it from the game completely.

that's definitely not true, i know many games would've been ended by a competent luci jumping had it not been for the well-placed hovel.
here is the love?

would seem to be a bug in the map, in that one spot. i haven't been able
to do it on any other map i've tried, nor anywhere else in atcs

A few of us were playing around on SST and learned that if someone decons the hovel while another granger is already inside, you go into "nothing." You can still see, but others cant see you. You stay that way until you evolve, or kill yourself...I think..I'm pretty sure about that.

I'm not sure how that responds to my post, but that is a bug that's fixed on most servers I frequent. You can't decon a hovel that's in-use in the patched version I play on.

I remember this bug though. I heard someone say exiting it took you to the zero-point of the map (the origin or co-ordinate with 0 for all of it's ordinates). On uncreation, for example, it would take you to the top of the tall cylinder in the middle.

I find it funny how the hovel is important not because it hides grangers but because it acts as a free (1 use) barricade. :P If you want to make the hovel more useful, how about making it a gateway to other hovels you've built (perhaps 1 hovel per player is buildable?). This though could easily unbalance the game and frustrate gamers. Just thinking of alternatives to keeping it or removing it.
